On Saturday I assisted my wife and another artist in their quest to reproduce a painting onto a 6X8 sheet of masonite for a 5th anniversary celebration at a gallery. The day was blustery and bit unstable weather wise but it didn't stop 70 plus painters who happen to be for the most part non-painters/non-artistis (which was wonderful) to come up and paint a 5 X 7 square. We had a great cross section from 3 years old all the way up to 80 years. And as with other things in life there were all kinds of approaches from wild enthusiasm to no sorry I can't do that I am not a painter or artistic or talented or? To see the people with grins on their faces (or studied concentration) as they worked away at their "patch" of the project was very gratifying. I believe we touched some people's lives on Saturday. The vibe was excellent.
